Engineer a mechanical windmill with its own rotating blades.
This windmill model is inspired by European vertical windmills, dating as far back as the 12th century.
It's victorian steam-punk skeleton tower style is inspired by the Chesterton windmill, a 17th century stone tower windmill found in England.
4 sails spin rapidly to drive the turbines, which mill grains - a true machinery masterpiece that helped farmers back then.
Learn what drives a windmill to spin, by building your very own.
You engineer & construct your own windmill - Build your own windmill, from it's individual components. From it's turbines to its engine - you will understand greatly how a windmill operates.
Beautiful turbine rotation movements - The model is powered by it's mechanical rubber band motor, located at the heart of the windmill. Wind it up and watch the blades spin. Otherwise, remove the motor & let natural wind do the job!
Intricate spiral skeletal tower design - The skeletal design allows you, the engineer, to appreciate & observe how the rotating base is driven by the blades.
Hours of fun - Makes a great hobby for everyone, old or young. Unwind by winding up your very own windmill, and spin your stresses away.
No additional tools required - The pieces are designed such that they fit perfectly together.

This thing is fun. We used candle wax as a lubricant for the gears. Not much of a puzzle because there are instructions, but all in all very fun to put together and beautifully crafted. Make sure you have a sharp exacto knife, these parts must fit very tight together!
This was definitely a fun little project. I thought it was going to be difficult to build and I was wrong. I built several models in the past and helped my father build several RC planes. Compared to an RC plane this is a cake walk. If you have never built anything like that you should be ok to work on one of these. JUST be patient with it. The only parts I had trouble removing were these tiny little ends that conceal the tooth picks. They give you extras for good reason. Lucky for me I didn't need them. Go for it guys and gals, it's fun and the end is rewarding. Very good cuts on the wood and this product functions exactly as advertised.
I bought this model for my wife and she was awed when she first saw it. This model kit is of very high quality with fairly easy picture instructions in several languages. I had some difficulty with the axle (toothpicks) at first but then I used a little wax and the tool they provided and I was good to go. Mine moves just as smoothly as the videos you see online. I'm definitely going to buy some more.
Very nice and functional model. Looks great when it is complete. Be sure to follow EVERY instruction EXACTLY as described. I recommend this to experience people as the model has very tight tolerance so even very small deviations to the plan will cause issues.
