It is pretty and I am happy with the final product. I wish the instruction was little bit more detailed. But the pictures are very helpful and after doing the first step, everything goes easy.
The part where it moved(as shown in the pic) works great and I am going to order other wooden design.
I really loved the final look of the trimaran.(as you can see in the picture)What an amazing piece! The cut out design are impressive. I spend a few hours with the person I give it to and we all loved seeing it in action upon completion. Be sure to follow the instructions , including waxing the parts as instructed (it will move just fine).
My girlfriend really likes DIY product. She would always use wool felt to create figurine and this time,I wanted to surprise her with this wooden diy boat. She was very happy with what she received. We spend the whole afternoon on monday to build this. I am very happy that she is having so much fun constructing this. I will definitely buy more of it in the future.
This was difficult to put together. The directions weren't clear, the pieces didn't come out easily, and the toothpicks are difficult to handle. The end product was nice and it was very enjoyable as I had to take it apart multiple times before I got what they were saying. This is definitely the most confusing Ugears model I've built so far.
Absolutely impressed, the complexity and precision of the wooden gears in action is top shelf. My 8 year old daughter and I built it slowly over the course of 3 days with minimal woodworking skills/tools. We used wood glue on the petals/ leaves that make up the outer shell, but that was the only modification. Satisfied.
This was a gift to my 12 year old grandson. He looks for challenging puzzles and models for his age and up, mostly without success (too easy or just not interesting). He enjoyed putting this boat together and the end result was a feeling of real accomplishment. You could see the smile on his face while doing the puzzle. I will definitely get more of this wooden puzzle for him in the future.
