My first experience, very well cut and pieces numbered so assembly was fun. One little problem: the tape holding the celluloid film does not hold well. I am out of the one furnished and used ordinary ´scotch tapé...does not hold well either. Solution please. I have also bought the locomotive and the airship, am waiting for delivery. A very good concept and product.
I bought this for my son's 19 birthday. Him, being an actor, it was the perfect gift for him. The joy on his face when he realized what it was, was worth every penny!
This was great fun to assemble for my daughter (she is 12.) The pieces fit together with great precision. You'll appreciate the engineering that went into it. Thoughtful design. You'll need steady hands though, to put it together. Just follow the instructions carefully. Enjoy it! Posting a photo of her completed work!
I decided to update my progress on this wood vitascope model. The puzzle goes together fairly easy and I finished building it and feel ridiculously proud of myself. An added bonus, the film works! And it projects very nicely on my wall. The company rep was also exceptionally nice and helpful when I had questions about the model.
Love how fast this model kit ships and reaches me. I've managed to complete mine within the day (with multiple breaks in between of course). Congrats again for another successful launch of a new model.
the instructions were easy to follow and there are also some actual photographs at some of the stages for better clarity - which are much appreciated. overall, the vitascope looks authentic, and has been the center of attraction in my household for days. My boys so are amused by the animation projected, and I'm glad it has kept them occupied!
i ordered this when it was first launched, and boy am i impressed by the attention to detail and how they have designed it to be mechanical inspired, the gears and wheels especially.
I just completed assembling it, and it looks stunning. I love how this machine does not use any batteries to light up the film attachment. It now sits nicely on my work desk.
